OK, I don’t know if this was produced by Ableton or if this guy is just a fan-boy. Either way, this is sick. I want to see a DJ do the same thing by laying down layers of beats and scratches. I know it’s been done, if you have video shoot it to us!

Jason, our Director of Operations, for some reason filled my inbox last night with a bunch of Google Video links to some guys doing the robot. 42,000+ views! I am official not cool - I though the robot went out right after Beat Street era (which, by the way is still in my top 10 all time fav’s - holla!) Dig peeps.

Nothing gives us a greater sense of satisfaction than watching someone we helped out do awesome things with their gear. DJ G-Funk called us about 6 months ago looking for a great deal on a full blown DVJ-1000 video rig. Well, we now have the privilege of watching our boy take it to a new level. Check out some of his work. He’s representing some serious skill for such a short time on the gear! You better recognize!

Man, you have to give up to Roonie G. This guy has been killing on the DVJ’s since WAY back. Anyone remember the old video with him and Brett (aka DJ 2nd Nature) - I think it was called “Digital Breaks For Your Grandma”? OLD SCHOOL! Anyway, aside from the cheesy Roonie G/Superman bit at the beginning this is a pretty sweet routine.
