21st DMC Championship

This year the DMC Championship comes with a bit of a twist due to their new sponsors. There’s $30,000 up for grabs for the champion. This year DJs can use ONLY Ortofon Stylii (sponsorship has its privileges). As a trade off for the Ortofon stylii mandate, DJs can now use any mixer instead of just the Technics as in previous years. Rumor has it that most DJs are still choosing the Technics mixer. The 2006 DMC World Finals will be take place not in Paris (as planned previously) but in London at the Hammersmith Palais on September 10-11th. Cool.
