This new Allen & Heath mixer falls into my ‘Death Star’ class of mixers right along side the Pioneer DJM-1000. I like the new black color scheme A&H went with for this 19″ install piece. Personally, I like the fact that instead of having to buy the mixer in either Linear or Rotary and being stuck with that; you can buy the linear or rotary module separate and switch them out…cool. Also included is a USB interface to input or output music or when used with certain software can act as a hardware device. Looks like it’s going to street for around $2k with a street date or March ‘07-ish.
